That thing makes it so that I can see what I'm shooting at....I really need a quick detach, so that I can use it as a club, if needed.....

BTW: that's a 2-7 pwr Weaver....I have a 36 pwr Simmons I might try to put on it, once it's built.....

XLCH, I can't tell if it's lighter or not...if it is, maybe a little bit.....

I'm not through with the build yet...gonna put on extended mag release, extended charging bar, and have a Butler Creek 25 rnd steel lip mag comming. I'm also thinking about removing the scope, and putting on some sort of red dot.....

...that long mag will make it look sharp....and deadly....I'd think about one of those red dots before a scope myself...will they take recoil of a .44 Spl or Mag???

If you get a good one they will sheepdog, I have a bushnell trophy red-dot I move from gun to gun. It even finds a home on my 870 during turkey season...never had a problem with a 3" mag turkey load, I can't imagine a .44 would jar it worse.

If your putting it on any sort of big bore handgun, I would think you would have to spend about $90 min to get one that will hold up.

John, it comes with two stock tubes...they say the straight is for optics and the angled for open sights...I first installed the straight, and did not like it with or without scope...had to tilt my head down too far. So, I then installed the angled tube...if feels much better and is great with optics and is ok with open sights.

BH, I didn't know if I would like it or not, but, my aim is just as steady with the handle as without. I like the way it naturally points.

John, the stock is made by Tapco. The best price I found was online at Sporter Express. The stock was $80.99 and the verticle grip was $22.99...Total came to $103.98....they didn't charge me shipping. I ordered in on Aug. 2, and got it Aug. 6.....came by UPS.

This was a very easy install...comes with instructions that are clear....took me about 20 minutes total. I really like it. Will try to shoot some this weekend.....
