this looks like where my votes will go this nov.

www.constitutionparty.com

and their mission statement---------
Mission Statement
Constitution Party Mission Statement

The mission of the Constitution Party is to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity through the election, at all levels of government, of Constitution Party candidates who will uphold the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. It is our goal to limit the federal government to its delegated, enumerated, Constitutional functions and to restore American jurisprudence to its original Biblical common-law foundations.

if ya'll have not read their party platform, it makes a lot of sense at least for me........

Wonderful platform and values...but not a viable choice at this time for me: If I take my vote from McCain and give it to this worthy party, who has small following and no chance, then I've helped the Democrat beat McCain...the time to build and support this party is the day after the election...for next time...not now, when every vote for anyone else other than McCain will be a help to whichever Donkey rears its ugly butt....we need to elect the lesser of the two evils....which each has a chance, not throw our votes away on a pipe dream....ie. Ross Perot....

The Democrats....united WILL beat the Republicans divided....and they may have something to do with all these new choices popping up....it could only benefit them....

As bad as I hate to admit it, Sheepdog is correct in his assessment of the situation. I look at it like this, I am not voting FOR McCain, but AGAINST Obama. That is the only way I can look at it and not puke.

I wouldn't want McCain to be dogcatcher---but I dread what the other ones will do if they get elected....

I'm with Sheepdog and Gunman. McCain this round, but in 4 years, if things are done right, and there is anything left of this country, I'll go another route.

It depends on who McCain pickes for a VP. If he goes with either Bloomberg or Liberman then he is poking a stick in the eye of conservatives and I'll support Bob Barr. I heard he had Crist, Romney and Jindal out to AZ this weekend. I'm ok with any one of them.

well, as the sayin' goes-----

never put off tomorrow what needs doin' today.................

I can't endorse either demo or republican as i still consider both parties as harmful to this Country---kind of like death by firing squad or slow poison---either way you're goin' to die.

It might be down right painful, and scraficies will be made, and battles will be lost, and hard times will be felt-----just like our Founding Fathers had to go through during the War of Independence----but the end result was GRAND!

We can't keep puttin' it off and scraficyin' tomorrow for today. The current political machine is like a wife with unlimited credit cards. We're cashin' checks we can't cover and still gettin' new cards and "kite'in" the Country......

Everyone is sayin' mcain is better than obama------that's akin to sayin' stalin was better than tojo or musollini was better than hitler.

i can not continue to vote to destroy this Country...a vote for mcain is a vote for bein' shot with a 9mm and hoping to survive. a vote for obama is consentin' to be shot with a 45--------i vote not to get shot at all..............if the Country goes down the tubes with mcain or obama at the helm, i can at least say i voted to survive----not consent to a rapid or slow death......i did somethin to try to stop the slide and turn the corner---i got to do it for future generations as i know i will not see any results in my lifetime, but for my children and grandchildren, someone has to lay a foundation.

voting for McCain says to the party that this is what we want. If he is elected, the next republican will be him again, and so on. I say burn the party to the ground, then start over. Its a tough row to hoe, but beats this "well tolerate this THIS time" line of thinking.

Let them lose until they pull their heads out.

Surely McCain is not stupid enough to pick either of those guys! But if he does, then yes, I would refuse to vote for him. I don't think I could vote for him if he choses Romney either. Crist, or Jindal would be fine. I watched Jindal the other night on Glenn Beck. He is 100% pro-gun, and seemed like a good guy.

I liked what you said deputy. I like it a lot and might go with the Constitution Party myself. I don't like McCain and I loath both Hillary and Barack. Either way it's a set-up in my eyes.

Think of the choices this way:

Obama is a Communist;
Clinton is a Socialist (There is a difference?);
McCain is a old style Democrat.

When I look at it this way, the choice is easy. Not that I like it.

McCain will flip-flop like a catfish on a hot sidewalk....but he does love this country and he is my choice...the other two wouldn't even make good traitors....

i've been looking at the constitutional party as well, And i'm with deputy. We all want change and the only way we're going to get it is to CHANGE. It's almost like we're being treated like sheep and lead to believe there are only 2 parties democrap or republican. I believe the time is NOW, its' time to show them that the values and beliefs of the democratic party and the republican party are not what we want or believe.

I'm going to keep looking at Chuck Baldwin (constitutional party) along with the other 2 puppets, until it's time to vote. But Chuck seems to be hitting my buttons.

I agree that we need a big change...a revolution might be the best thing...but at this point...if we support splinter groups, it'll be like Perot or that Nader guy...it'll just pull enough votes away from McCain to let Obama win easily....and that ain't the step in the right direction we need....The day after the election, we should go full speed to change things at every level...but not now....we'll throw our votes away and a vote for an upstart splinter group is a vote for the Democrats......and against our military and our 2A rights...

:( Sadly, I'm afraid Sheepdog is 100% right ! If We take the time to reflect on past elections, We will see this exactly the scenario the Democtats would need to just step right in !! It's foolish to walk to the last stop to get on the train, when we could have been riding it from the beginning of the trip !
The time to get involved in helping a worthy cause, or in this case "Political Party", is at the beginning of the campaign ! That would Be the day after the election, (for next time), not the day before ! Sorry Guys, but My vote goes against Obama, & the only vote that will effect his defeat, would be for McCain !!

You won't see many posts here in "The Kitchen" by Me, as I usually try to avoid conflict & hard feelings as much as possible ! But, I feel so strongly about this subject, I had to speak up, no matter who agrees or disagrees !

Thanks for Your time !!

no hard feelin's what-so-ever!!!!!!!

places like the kitchen here is where i can vent among friends and they act like a soundin' board. Does not mater if folks agree or disagree---it is an exchange of ideas with no penalities and that is what counts.............

they sometimes open my eyes, and on occasion, i might crack their eye lids..........its healthy and all for the good................... ;)

i know that its too late this year for the 3rd party---that's a given----but if i can plant the seed for next season, maybe it will grow........ ;) .....all it takes is numbers and drive.........

Avoidance of conflict and disagreement has been part of the dumbing down of the American spirit...we MUST learn to speak up and speak out again...and stand for what we believe...willing to learn or change when proven wrong...but standing for SOMETHING...I wonder how long it'd take a group of Americans to agree on a Constitution these days.......

Sheepdog, You couldn't get enough people to agree on who should be in the group, let alone getting the group to agree on anytiing after they are finally selected !

Yes, You are right about taking a stand on what You believe in ! I just worry sometimes that things will happen here, like they have on some of the "other" forums. I've really come to like it here, & would hate to loose any of You as friends, over some silly arguement or such, that's all !

No worries Jim. I think the members here are above that. I think we all agree to disagree at times and may actually enjoy it a bit. I love reading threads like this. There are some very good points made by all on both sides of the coin. I feel everyone is entitled to their opinion and if I don't agree, oh well for me. We can all be very passionate about things without being assinine about those things. That's opinion on the matter. Can you smell it?

smells like freedom to me...................

don't want to sound like a hippie flowerchild or somethin' like that------but really i think its more like a tavern---like durin' the pre-revolution days of this Country-----folks gettin' togeter and discussin' the past, present, and future of things in a friendly atmosphere. When we are done, we all leave as friends and come back tomorrow to do'er again!!!

there are no agitators or trolls here, just folks with differences of opinion that are respectfully discussed and bantered about......................it might get a bit warm, but it won't cross the line........
