I've been thinking about getting a 460 Rowland 1911 conversion from Clarks Custom Guns. Anybody have any expeireance with these? Read an article on them in Gun Digest Handguns 2007 sounds really cool. The ballistics on the 460 are similar to .44mag. I don't want to convert my Colt & Clark doesn't suggest useing A.O. OR AMT, so I'd have to buy a new 1911.
Damn the bad luck!!! ;)

I don't know anything about the 460, but if it's ballistics are similiar to the 44 mag, it's a heavy hitter. That would be a pretty cool 1911. Not that the 45 acp is anything to sneeze at.

I haven't seen anything on that conversion. If you find an article I would love to see it.

Have you looked into Magnum Reasearch's Desert Eagle to see if that would be more cost effective?
Go to Clarks Custom Guns website there are 4 or 5 articles on it there. The 1st. article I read was in Handguns 2007. Two of the articles on Clarks are by John Taffin, if he likes it its gotta be good!
