Just ordered 1000 lead 147 gr 9mm bullets from Missouri Bullets. Have never loaded 9mm before and I know they are cheap to buy but want to cut costs as much a possible since the grand kids chew thru these like there is no tomorrow.

So, anyone have any pet loads? According to the Lyman Pistol/Revolver Book 3.3 - 3.4 of Unique looks like it will work and I have about 8 lbs of Unique. Ideas?
Thanks

I use 4.8gr of Unique behind a 125gr LRN from MBC....my Lee manual list the lightest load at 5.3gr, but I've shot them and they cycle both my Sig and Kahr with no problems, and frankly, they don't feel like a light load.....

I hope you purchased them over diamiter since they are cast bullets you need to be larger than copper jacked.
I don't have a clue what 9mm is in real measurements but have loaded 1000s of Missouri bullets from .32 H&R to 45/70 and never had a problem. Brad always seems to send what is needed/works. Hell, he even started making special bullets for Wizard.

Just checked and the size is .356, the same size Lymans uses for their lead loads in the book. BNL is 15 with the bullet being pushed out at approx 810 fps (sub-sonic) with 3.2 of Unique.

Have never used Bullseye Gunman. Will be shooting out of my P89 and the only reason I went with the heavier bullets is that is what the kids wanted.

Chance, I would like to add that the .357 bullets Brad started making after I asked are working out GREAT. They are easy to load, and fly straight.....I also like the 9mm I got from him.....getting ready to place an order for .452 LRN...... :D
