actually, with the ruger expertise in casting, i was hoping to see an ar that would retail a couple of hundred less than a bushy......................
as far as 10 rd mags, many have hated Bill Ruger for his stance on adopting them and even suggesting them. But the end result of this so-called "compromise" is that the ar-15 and the mini-14, and other style so-called "assault rifles" stayed in production-----which was better than an out-right total ban. I happen to think his support of the 10 rd mag actually helped to prevent things from getting much worse during that time period.
Bill Ruger is dead and buried........along with his deciosion to adopt 10 rd magazines. The Ruger company is no longer under Ruger family control and as such is under new leadership so again the 10 rd mag issue is a dead one as even ruger is again currently producing the 20rd mags for the mini 14.
As far as safety locks, afraid that is a given in today's lawsuit happy world and a trend that will eventually be adopted to all firearms. i personally hate and despise safety locks inorporatd into firearms such as the locks on smith and taurus revolvers, locks on 1911's, remington rifles, etc...but its their way of reducing potential law suits by trying to put the liability where it really belongs---with the firearm owner.
