A while back in another thread you asked about HP-38 & 231 being identical in response to my comment about H110 & 296 being the same. Its been hang'n around in the back of my head (the voices have been toss'n it around ;) ) ever since. I kept check'n those powders every time I looked thru one of my manuals & I always found slight differences between those powders. Then tonight the light came on, one of the voices said "Hey Dumbass why don't you check the Hodgdon manual?". So I did & Hallelujah there it was, Hodgdon lists HP-38 & 231, H110 & 296 Identical in charge weight, Velocity & CUP. I'm still at a loss as to why the other manuals list them differently. Its late passed Mattie's bed time, so I'll have to let the voices work on this one a little more.

Thanks, Deadey....I haven't forgotten that question, and I've still been comparing load data of the two. It never occured to me to go to Hodgdon's website and look....But you're right...it seems as though all the manuals show different load data for the two.

I really like both powders, but lately, have been using Unique in my .38's. I might try a workup of Unique in my 9mm's and see how it works....

Thanks, Deadeye.....
