What is the best (or at least your favorite), semi-auto you've ever owned?

As most of you know, my favorite of all time is the P226 Sig....a sweeter and more reliable shooter than anything I've ever owned or shot.....

I just got my Taurus PT1911 and love the look of the 1911, but I haven't shot it yet. So until I do I'll have to say my XD 45. Great shooter for sure!

SR9! Although it is the only one I've ever owned, I do love it! Does that count?

Wow, that's really a tough call. All the ones I own are reliable, durable and accurate so this will have to be settled by aesthetics: My PT92. ;)

I guess my favorite is my Colt Combat Commander in 9mm.
First new gun I ever bought. Back around 1978. But my favorite is my
Sig P239 in .40 - My usual carry.

I've had my eye on an XD 45 Compact as I've heard nothing but good things about them. Right now my P94 in 40 S&W is accurate, totally reliable and is my top auto.

Been trying to buy a P226, but the prices have been awful lately.

Thunderjohn, if you're intrested, there is a dealer in Tallahassee that beats everyone's price that I've seen. He goes by 22ST on the Sig forum. When I buy my P229, I'm going to get it through him. If you're not in FL., then of course you don't have to pay tax.

well my Sheriff just received one of those $269.00 advertised sig p6/225 pistols------he's a gun nut also.

Came with holster, box, 3 mags, and mag pouch. Has plenty of holster wear but the insides look good----carried a lot and seldom shot it seems. Hopefully he will let me test'er out.

I've been thinking about one of the P6's, and maybe having it hard chromed....Does it have the European or American stye mag release. I have the European style on my P230, and don't care for it at all....but, the gun shoots great.....

the one he received was American style mag release. I think about every pic i've seen of these advertised are American style mag release. Here is where he ordered his from http://www.centerfiresystems.com/index. ... rodID=1225

and this is what came with it:
Sig Sauer Mfg.
Made in west Germany
Model P6-225
9mm Semi-Auto
High matte black finish
Black checkered plastic grips
(2) single stack 8rd mags
Single & double action
Adjustable windage on front & rear sights
Includes holster
Has a de-cocker for hammer
3.9" length barrel
7.1"L x 1.3"W x 5.2"H
Weighs 28oz with empty mag

the holster is a good lookin' black duty style swivel holster and looks like it is for a 2" belt. An unusual pull strap set-up but it keeps the weapon secure. The da pull is heavy according to him. he also ordered a few accessories as well.........
