Does anyone know any resources for information on competitive shooting events and organizations? I would really like to start attending some of these, with the ultimate goal of being a legitimate contender, but don't know where to find them in my area.

+1 on the NRA as many clubs use their format on rules and regs.......

but many clubs also have formal and "informal" shoots

plus ya got IDPA, SASS, and a few more sports out there

they are numerous but vary from area to area.................
