That was my thought as well although if you look at the cylinder it almost looks like it was sucked in on the side plus with the thickness of the metal he might have stuffed the case fully of plastic explosives. It must have made quite a pop.

Look at the size of the topstrap that got blown away on both ends. That is unbelievable.
