Not a really stellar report, but I fired about 50 "no problem" rounds through the gun.....tried to fire 60, but the slide didn't always go back into battery, corrected by a tap & rack.....I am confidant this was the ammo and not the gun.....all I had to shoot was some reloads that I think I got at a gun show about 20 years ago....on the way home, I stopped and picked up 2 boxes of American Eagle 230gr FMJ, and will try it either Saturday or Sunday. For the 50 that did operate as they should, I like this gun.....it shoots very nice.....recoil is soft, and it points really nice....I might end up changing out the sights, because my eyes ain't what they used to be. As far as the way this gun handles, I just don't think you could ask for a whole lot better.....it's right up there with my P226, but, in .45acp..... :D

After work, this morning, I went by and picked up my BIL, and we took our XD-45's to the range. We each carried 150ea of 230gr FMJ by Independence.....I am extremely pleased to say that both .45's ran perfectly through 150 rnds, each. My BIL has never shot a .45acp, and really didn't know what to expect....after his first mag full, he turned, smiled big and said "This is one sweet gun".....I'm really pleased that he likes it.

All I can say is I need more ammo... ....I really like the way this XD handles.....it just seems to fit me really well. Our club is going to start up the centerfire steel plate matches again, and I'm pretty sure I will shoot the XD in those matches.....it's going to be a toss up between the XD-45, and the Sig P226.....either way, I got some reloading to do.....
