What is the stock on this one?
The stock is maple , It is acid burned , the longer you leave it on the darker the wood gets
when you get the color you want , vinegar and water stops it . The stock is soaked in
kerosine and linseed oil for a week and rubbed with straight linseed oil . They make left
handed flinter and are sold cheap used . Here a pic of one in left hand just for you . here a
real one for sale.

It don't work on all woods . The bottle of stuff I had said maple
only . It's not a stain , it super deep in wood , when you scratch
the color is still there , so add your finish and it disappears . When
you mix it in water it still is clear and goes as deep water , so I
keep the stock soaked to go in about a inch . And takes around
24 hrs to get about my color and to stop it , vinegar and water .
