I just ordered 8 lbs of Unique, and 5000 small pistol primers. Monday, I order 4000 158gr LRN, and 2000 unprimed Starline's in .38sp.....

Anyone every purchased once-fired brass? Seems to go about $60 - $70/k.....new runs $110/k.....

I've bought a lot of 357 once fired brass. It all seems to be fine. I also pick up a lot of brass at the range. Same thing.

i'm paranoid about once fired rifle brass------but not pistol brass. Sounds like you are doin' some good bulk discount stockpilin'!!!!

The Unique was $96.99. The CCI primers were $23.99, and because they're on the same order, I only pay $20 hasmat fee. Natchez actually ships them both together....power in one box, primers in another, and both inside a larger box. I thought it was not the best way, but I've received it before from them, so I guess it works......oh, and I do separate them when I receive them.....

Don't know if Gander Mt. carries powder and primers, but a new one opened down in Ocala last week...only problem is, it's 65 miles from here.....it's just cheaper for me to order and pay the hasmat.....

Sounds good to me since that basically what I am paying. Next gun show here I will pick up another 5 or 10k primers and will get another 8 lb can of Unique next time I see one on the shelf at Sportsmans Warehouse. What I have to buy now is bullets, but am afraid some liberal a-hole will push thru a ban on lead.

I'm with you, Chance. Today I'm placing orders for 4000 38sp 158gr LRN, and I'm also ordering 2000 new 38sp unprimed brass. I load for myself and my BIL...we shoot competition with our .38's, and we want to stockpile for the same reason you mentioned. I also have 2000 9mm ready for me to get busy and load. Next month, we plan on ordering a lot....this month is just a test.... :lol: :lol: :lol:
