I just picked up a Browning BPS 12 gauge. I traded it for a set of drums I'd been trying to get out of my basement. It came with some extra chokes and has a red dot on it. The guy said he hunted with it one year and put it in his safe. Here's some pics. Any opinions on this gun? I won't be keeping it, but would like any input I can get on it. What do you think it would sell for?

the last time i looked, the std bps series could be found for around $450 to $500---don't know about the camo versions.

the bps is considered to be a fine shotgun with many folks arguing which is superior....the 870 wingmaster or the bps.....it is in that league...

i like the bps for what it is, a bottom eject gun with an ambi safety and browning quality though it does seem to be a bit on the heavy side.

the aimpoint is always a nice touch and people associate the name with quality---but i think that paticular model has been discontinued.

you might make more piecing it out than all together.

One of the few pump action guns I have never fired...Sorry I couldn't more help on that one.

Why do you want to get rid of it? Might make you really nice gun...

Too nice. I don't need something this nice. It's a great Turkey gun I bet, but I don't hunt with shot guns. Actually until I take my ass thru another NRA safety course I don't hunt at all.

Don't like the camo, but the Browning pumps are like greased glass...I'd try for $650 complete...

If ya don't have to pay a high price for a hunting lease the NRA course isn't much. And alot of good information there, who knows you may like Turkey hunting. A shotgun looking that good with extra chokes I wouldn't let it go cheap I would ask at least &600.00 ya can always come down some but not much. To get a good idea of what its worth call a gun shop ask then what it would take to get a shot set up like what you have. Reduce the price they give 20 % and your still way a head of the game.
