I went to the range today with the 10-22 and my Savage 93 17 HMR.

The 10-22 accuracy is just what you would expect from an off the shelf gun...I'm not even going to bother posting those groups. One of these day's it's going to get a G.M. Barrel, and a Boyds laminate stock, but for now it shoots Minute of Squirel and I guess that's all that I can ask of it.

But the Savage...now that's a different critter all together. For a $250 gun with a $150 scope it will punch some great little groups. I have noticed though after about the first ten shots, if I don't run a patch through it, the groups will start to open up. I forgot to bring my bore snake, so this group, the first one, was the best of the day. Not bad for 50 yards 5 shot group with a pretty good cross wind blowing. The flyer was called, and was the first shot of the day.

I've heard that rimfire rifles should be cleaned every dozen or so shots to keep them shooting good.

That's a good group.

Vevalco...first time I ever knew that CZ made rifles was when a guy on another forum raved about his in .223....seems that they're really well made and accurate...they forgot the sights on this one, though!!!!

I have an old Russian Toz-17 that well they don't even make anymore. I wish they did cuz I need a new mag for it, and kant find one... so this bolt gun is a single shot now

I want to get me a new 10-22

I called them and got a recording, I hope the call me back as I need that magazine :lol:

But getting out after not shooting this Toz-17 for about 6 or more years I decided to put a Simons scope that I had just laying around. After getting it sighted in before fine tuning it out to 100 yards, I shot this Ace card with an orange dot on it at 25 yards.



Then after some fine tuning at 100 yards, I went over to the farm to fine tune it even better.......

80 gophers later was the end count for the day :lol:

I will be back out again on Saturday :twisted:

Update on Toz-17 Magazine
Called the company again this morning and they are holding that magazine for me, and will wait on the Postal Money Order.
