being courious, which set of grips do you prefer? I've always liked the factory stock but i know hogue has sold a ton of aftermarkets for them.

I really like them both. It shoots great with either. I like the looks of the stock grips better though. Especially if you put in a nice set of inserts.

hang on to them as they are only going to probably become collectors items sometime in the future----unless i re-aquire a gp and want them, then the're cheap and common don't ya know!!   ;)

I've never considered other grips for my GP because it is SO comfortable and secure in my hands with the factory grips. These inserts are from 41 magnum and they dress it up nicely I think (birds eye maple).

Now that speed six is another issue. I love the look of these stock grips, but can't shoot it worth a damn with them. Sheepdog recommended and let me try some packy grips and accuracy went up about 500% immediately. So I bought those and switch back and forth. Still trying to get accurate with the stock wood though.

Now that my SR9 is in limbo with the recall, I need to get these two revolvers to the range. Maybe tomorrow lunchtime in fact.

Jim sure makes some NICE grips! Those look great!
Thanks, I love 'em. In fact, I sent him the raw piece of wood. I have a pool cue made of birds eye maple and I've always loved it, but he didn't have any. I found a piece at Woodcraft near me and he made a few pairs from it and let me choose the best! I really admire people who can work with wood.

The stock grips fit my hands very well and I like the looks of the wood inserts. They were supposedly designed by Bill Ruger after the dashboard of his auto.

She's a beauty Shawn, that's forsure! :D My next .357 Magnum will be a GP100. The Hogues look really sharp on it too.
