Anyone here subscribe to G&A? In the late 80s and 90s I had a subscription with them but let it go for over a decade. I recently re-subscribed back in January and hadn't received any issues. Actually it had completely slipped my mind until just a minute ago so I decided to email them and let them know they're a little behind with the deliveries. They probably wonder why the heck I've taken almost 6 months to get back to them. LOL :? :lol:

G and A used to be my favorite mag. But they really went downhill in the 90s and I have not subscribed since then. I still get Guns, American Rifleman, and Shooting Illustrated.

I just buy them monthly and only pick up the ones that have articles I want to read. I think they owe you a little something for being so slow.

I still get it, it seems to be a pretty good magazine. I just get sick of the over lapping articles between all the gun rags.

i've just about quit buyin' the gun rags--------do all my research on the puter.

the exception is when there ain't no puter like when i was in the hospital last year, my friends bought me a few.........and when on over nite trips, i'll generally get one to pass the time..........

I read the gun rags on the rack, I haven't purchased a subscription in years :lol:


But if I see the Ruger Magazine I will buy it.

I like the more in depth articles in Guns and American Handgunner although I don't subscribe to either. The problem I have is when I go to Texas someone between here and there likes to read them as well as I only get one every two or three months. They are forwarded but somehow never make it. I get them at home every month. Taurus I suspect that may be your problem as well.

I recently subscribed to Shooting Times as they made me an offer I couldn't refuse something like $8.00 for the year so I sent it in and got my first one this week. I'm sure once I get to Texas the same ole stuff will happen again.

If someone has been reading my issues, they've been forgetting to forward them on to me when they're finished. :lol: I did get a reply back from G&A stating they'd send me a years worth plus 5 bonus issues -- which is 7 less than the price I paid for a complete 2 year subscription. Their records showed I paid for one but I'm 100% sure I paid for the 24. Regardless it wasn't that big of a point of a contention with me so I told them to just send the 17 and I'd be fine with that. However I don't think I'll be renewing my subscription with them after it expires.

I like American Handgunner and Combat Handguns....Shooting Times, Guns, and Guns and Ammo have gotten skinny and bland...oh, for the good old days......

Never have seen that mag on the newsstand. It looks interesting and I own a couple single actions but would really like a blackhawk conversion to 44 SPL. I'll have to check out a couple of newsstands to see if I can find an issue to read.

Terry, I thought about having one of my 357 50ths turned into a 44 special. I think that would be a great little packing gun.

I also pick up Hand Loader magazine. I don't know why. I get all my load info online. :?
