Loaded up a few .44mag. Hog loads last night. The Deadeye Engineering Drop A Load works like a dream. :D Still have a few more to go as you can see in the back ground.

My Hog Juice has really fermented now, took the lid off yesterday & the stench about knocked me out (just right!!!). It would make a good mash if I wanted to build a still & brew some white lightnin!!!

What are those stepping out at around 1000 FPS? Those should get their attention but I couldn't help thinking you're going after a big pile of pork with all those reloads.

My brother-in-law shot one this year down in TX and I thought the meat was good eating. Going to bring my rifle next year.

What're you shootin' 'em out of?
Sorry Sheepdog, somehow I missed your question. :? I'll be shoot'n em out of my Super Blackhawk 5 1/2" barrel. I haven't got to hunt em yet, they don't come around here much during a drought like we're having now so I'm just wait'n fer rain.

The hog juice I mixed up has been sit'n in a 5gal. bucket with a lid out in the sun. The stench is really something to behold now! ;) :D :D

What did you mix up and how do you use it?? I'll be hunting them when we head down. There are corn feeders on the property but they don't seem to be real interested.

I use deer corn & Big Red soda, just fill a 5gal. bucket about 2/3 full of corn then add enough soda to cover the corn (buy 2, 3ltr. bottles of soda). Then check it in a few days, the corn will start to swell up & absorb the soda. just keep adding soda to keep corn covered until it quits absorbing it. Keep a lid on the bucket but don't snap it down tight (as the corn ferments it will build up a little pressure, I just put a brick on the lid to keep it on). Then just leave it out in the sun, nature will do the rest! I also add about a cup of Black Gold, its a wild boar attractant that you also pour on the side of a tree to attract them. (See link)

I had some old Catfish Blood dough, that I threw in it just to add to the stink. Just remember Hogs love anything that smells rotten. the more it stinks the better!

Deadeye - those are some good looking loads. I haven't used anything heavier than a 255gr LSWC 'cause I don't hunt anymore, but I had read about some great loads with a 300 - 310 grain gas checked lead SWC and 21.5 H-110 that pump out 1400fps. That'll get your attention!
Glad you didn't ask me to go over and pop the lid on that brew- woulda' knocked me over by now!

Hog hunting sounds like a lot of fun. I"m with Montanan, hopefully someday I can head down South and do some hog blasting. No hogs in Washington.
I heard there were some on the peninsula.
