Well I had been curious and went to a local shop, where they were gonna let me trade for the Kel-Tec P11. I did a very comparable test between the two. Empty the P11 weighs more than my empty 637, and placing the P11 on top of my 637 the grip on the 637 is slightly longer, but the width... the 637 wins hands down. I just could not make the trade, even for the higher round count of 5 vs 10 where the P11 would have given the added edge in a fight.

I think I will keep the S&W 637 Airweight.

This is just my opinion, but I would NEVER trade a Smith for a Kel-Tec!!! The only KT I ever owned tore up on me with less than 300 rounds through it.
Well, your right.. after seeing and feeling the Kel-Tec, my Smith trigger even in DA is lighter.

However I am looking again for a SA CCW firearm that is small and light.

while the kel-tec p-11 is a fine little 9mm, it does take a lot of practice to master that long, long da stroke compared to the 637...........

a small sa for concealed carry......besides all the high dollar stuff from kimber and such, perhaps the cz that can be carried sa or da? http://www.cz-usa.com/product_detail.php?id=48

i would have kept the smith as well. I have not been impressed with kel techs. I had a local offer today for a kahr cw9 for my 642. If i wasn't in the mood for full size 45acp. I might have taken that offer.
