I just got 1600 38 caliber jacketed hollow point bullets for $100! I have to weigh them still. I'm pretty sure they're 125 grains.

I'm not sure, but I think so. I stopped into a gun shop that I bought a few guns off and figured they might have a used 4" GP. They didn't. They did have a couple of new ones. They had a blued one and I really liked it. I think they blue looks great. The SS is easier to take care of though, so I'll go that route. Anyway, my girlfriend noticed that they had some nickeled brass in 45 acp and 38. It was cheap! I didn't need the acp and don't want 38 special, so I asked about it anyway because they don't usually sell components for reloading. They said that they bought an entire estate and were selling everything for half the price. It was new brass. I asked if they had any bullets and they said no and then one guy said hey wait maybe we do downstairs. He came back up with 1600 of them. They said I could have them and the metal box for $100 if I wanted it. I said, hell yeah! So now I just have to come up with some brass. :D

ya might want to go back down there and see what other treasures they may have from that estate. Good chance of picking up extra powder funnels, calipers, ammo boxes, primers, etc. Never know unless you ask as they may put what they perceive as slow selling items on the back burner like them bullets. Might as well see if you can be the 1st to pick thru the pile.

Great catch BH. Some of those were my first bullet purchase and I paid $11.95 for 100. Indeed, you only paid 1/2. Glad to see all that good living is finally paying off.
