Well, it finally arrived. Been waiting about 6 weeks. The stock leaves much to be desired, but the bore is pretty dang good from what I can tell. Post war Springfield Armory.

You'll be amazed how nicely that stock will clean up. That is a great weapon, Congratulations !!

NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! When (THEY) come to get you
just grab that M1 first. You'll be just fine.

Very nice, been want to shoot one again, would bring back memories. What I trained with, the ole thumb buster.
Local shop has a couple, one is very nice, looks almost like new in .308.
Wish I could see the grin when you shoot it the first time.
