Took the LCP out to the range! Really fun gun. But definitely NOT a toy!!
I went through a lot of ammo, many different kinds, I had several partial boxes and three magazines so I was just throwing lead at paper really fast. Fun.
Shot 7 and 10 yards, handful of bullseyes but everything else is just on the paper. No real pattern, but I did come away feeling like I can shoot it, comfortably, and hit what I'm aiming at confidently at 10 yards. Serves its purpose.
One concern: I had several FTF on the last round of the magazine, where the slide didn't go all the way forward but stopped a half inch short or so. Easily cleared, but I didn't like it. My only other semi auto is my SR9 and it has never, ever done that.
But, encouragingly, it only happened on target ammo. The good stuff - and I tried a few like Hornady and Golden Sabre, no problems whatsoever.
The Plan: I'm going to choose a quality carry round, buy a 150 rounds, shoot all but 20 of it, making sure I'm not the cause of the FTF problems and making sure it feeds reliably. Then I'll clean the gun, load my three mags, put one in the chamber, find a holster solution and start walking around with this little cricket!
