Yesterday morning, I was loading away, and the primer, primercap, shell casing and all got stuck....I mean really stuck....so stuck that when I freed it, the primer cup arm broke, and the shell holder broke. BUMMER.....fortunately, I had another of each. I also stretched the spring clip that holds the shell holder under tension (didn't have another).....was able to load another 100 before I had to go pick up my granddaughter.
I called Lee yesterday afternoon, and was put through to a technician because the nice lady on the phone only knows parts numbers. I explained what happened, and the tech said, "Wow, I've never heard of that happening.....So I told him I needed the three parts, and asked what they would cost. He told me there would be no cost, and then told me how to adjust the ram to ensure the primer holder arm would not bind. He didn't even ask me how long I have owned the press.....I really think the primer went in crooked and just jammed up really tight.
Anyway, the whole point of this is that I have read on several forums that customer service just doesn't exist at Lee. I have to disagree with that. They were very courtious and helpful with me...not to mention they are replacing the parts at no charge. Now that's what I call customer service.....
