That sounds like a good load to me! Lyman Pistol & Revolver manual lists 9.6gn (1083fps.) as max but I'm sure you could easily go as high as 10.0gn in that Ruger. I would suggest staying under 1200fps. with any lead bullet tho.

I have the load info written down here. I think I got it from Iowegan a while back, but I'm not sure. I figure it's a little over 900 fps.

I'm guessing 45 Colt and the RNFP is cast. Speer list 9.5 as max on a 200 gr SWC and on a 250 gr SWC (go figure) with the 200 at 1061 fps. That should work and shouldn't lead you up if they are cast.

It is cast, Terry. I backed the load off to 9.2. That should still work well I think. I'm going to load up 250's next time.

It should be fine. Sorta mid-range for the Ruger. Go pop a few caps and tell us how they did.
