Well, I'm no longer in the marked for an XD....Yesterday, I found a P226 that our local pawn shop that they traded in even on a Ruger Redhawk. They wanted $550 for it. I field stripped it, and I truely believe it's had less than 50 rounds shot out of it. This morning, I went back to the shop, and it followed me home....I finally got another P226 in 9mm....will not let this one go.....

Oh yeah!! Looks nice. I am new to Sig's but have been impressed with the P250. I see you have the same problem I do, these damn guns a like 4 legged dogs. They just seem to follow you home. :lol:

Jim, back in the mid 90's, I shot IPSC with a Sig P226. Slide was hard chromed, and Sig in Exitor did a trigger job on it for me....iirc, 7lb double action and 2 lb single action....that gun was sweet. Not going to have an action job on this one, but might get the slide hard chromed.....

Should have a couple of 15 rnd mags by next week.....

Now you've got a reliable Hi-Cap 9----you gotta really abuse a 226 to make it screw up...gotcha a good 'un!!!

nice guys, i've had my eye on a few of those.....i may have to break down, but my gun funds are getting pretty shallow...be spending my $$ on ammo.

Very nice indeed! I've been wanting a Sig P226 9mm for some time now but have always purchased something else or had bills to take care of. It's on the list though.... one day.

Thanks, guys. I know that I have a high opinion of Sigs, but having shot one in competition, I just go with what I know....the gun never failed and would take any ammunition I would feed it. I even have 500 left over 115 gr lead flat points that I used to shoot....they fed like a dream. I will take this one to the range no later than Tues. If it shoots as good as it looks, it'll be a keeper.....

Thanks, Thunderjohn....I wasn't really ready to buy yet, but I just could not pass on this P226. I may eventually get a XD9, but it'll be a while now.....

BTW: I now have the following mags:

2 - 10 round
3 - 15 round
2 - 18 round

They are all Mecgar, as they make the mags of Sig Sauer.

BH, that made me think....Wednesday, I did inventory on my ammo....I'm getting there....not counting shotgun shells, just handgun stuff (non .22cal)....I'm knocking on the door of 5 figures....
