OK so now I have an M1 here to work on. Springfield Armory made.
Won't chamber fully, won't eject, won't fire sometimes. That's all I know so far.
Oh yeah, I know one more thing. It's heavy.
I haven't even had the time to look at it yet but things come to me in my sleep and I want to run pull it out and look at it. I don't know much about these beasts and may wind up getting an AGI video before I tackle it.
Anybody know a lot about the innards of a Garand?

You could get a copy of Jerry Kuhnhausen book The U.S. .30 Caliber Gas Operated Service Rifles, A Shop Manual Volumes 1&2, lots of info in it.
