There were quite a few people there, I guess. Probably about 60 -75 shooters plus others like me just wondering around. It seemed pretty laid back and there were people from about 13 up to probably 75 there.Terry_P said:

Getcha some boots, jeans, hat, and a cowboy shirt...I'll bet you blended in like a turd on a Thanksgiving table....you'll spend a little money, but you'll have a lot of fun, too....I know some guys who'd give up golf and sex to do the CASS thing...and, after buying the guns and gear...some have....both!!!

i've got my pin stripe over-alls on stand-by should i decide to get into it....gonna play railroad engineer.......... :lol:
besides, from watchin' it on tv, some of these folks got lots of money tied up in the cloths and leather.....

It's funny you should say that. I saw all the guns and thought about the money invested and then saw all the leather and thought that it was almost as expensive. Some of the leather there was beautiful.

oh i watched this feller on outdoor tv the other night talkin' about it and he took the camera along on a shoppin' spree......it wasn't cheap......
they have the show called "cowboys" once a week on the outdoor channel---all cas and very entertainin'.......................................
would much rather watch it than that bozo pair on the other gun show try to abuse and destroy guns deliberately............... :evil:

Me too BH, Deputy 125 they sure do but ya know fer all the money they spend on guns and leather still its what you the shooter can do. Since I have been shootin dualist I haven't had a clean match meaning no misses but each time and this its the second time I shot dualist I am bring home the ribs.
Today was sorta a hard day in that I had to work last nite and of course as usual had to save a sgt's tail as he didn't finsh his job. So I got to stay over have fix it. Whats new been doing the job fer 28 years. Anyhow late gettin home late gettin to bed and of course late gettin up but still I went on.
I did my aboslute best today and only got second place but ya know it was great fun and even thow I didn't get first place I learned a whole bunch today and met a whole bunch of really good folks.
And to top it off had a meal just like they did in the 1880's on a trail drive, I am here to tell ya it was the best meal I have had in a while and ate and joked with my fellow shooters.
I really didn't think I would even place today ya could have knocked me over with a feather when they called my name for second place. Of course my whole poss just roar with yells and claps. In this world that we live in today that seems to be all about me and this and that to be where I was today I just find it hard to come back to the real world.
There are always many find folks there that want you to do good and always wantin to help. And of course we do laugh at each other lord do we ever.
One of the new friends that I made today is a retired police range instructor, boy did he have alot to say. And of course every word he told me I have in my mind now I just need to put it into practise.
I will always want to get better but never do I want to think I am better not so I learn each and everytime I go to a match.
My first match were so poor that I thought everyone would laugh me out of town, nope not several folks came up to me and asked if they could show me a trick or two. Even the women folk have points to give and they sure can shoot also.
Now they say that in every sport there are but holes's I guess so but I haven't met one yet and I just some how don't think I will. each time I tell them I am just learn they tell me so arer we and we will learn together.
I am here to tell ya I am proud to be in Cowboy Action shootin just like I am proud to be here. LOL I think I have a whole page here lol.
