Just for interest, I just found a gun in the bottom of my gun locker that I had long since forgotten about. After researching on this site, and thank you to those folks who posted, I see I have a MENDI Percussion Duelling Pistol reproduction in 12MM cal. and serial number 112 and with a 10 1/4" smooth bore barrel. I won't be shooting it because I don't know black powder and I don't need to know the sound of one hand clapping. Its history from an old Canadian registration certificate shows that it was originally owned by an outfit called Hercules Sales and then by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Special Effects Dept. so I'm thinking it was used in movies. All that said, does anyone have an idea of its value, given the attached photos?
