I just received my package from Simply Rugged leather company. I ordered a belt, pancake holster, and a six round cartridge slide for my accusport bisley in .45colt. I am really impressed with the workmanship and funtion of this setup. Much better than the uncle mike's nylon holster that I used for my vaquero last year during hunting season. The nylon holster worked fine, but it was a pain. It lets the holster sit too low on my hip and I ended up having to remove it before I climbed into a truck or I would get wedgied when the holster hit the seat and pulled my belt and pants up with it. The Simply Rugged holster rides high and tight on my hip. I can sit down without the holster digging into the seat. It holds the gun very securely. I am really pleased with this product. I am going to try to learn how to post pics later today. If I succeed, I will post some pics of my new holster and most recent gun purchase.

If anyone needs a quality holster for field carry, I can highly recommend Simply Rugged.

Yup, it is the original Vaquero. I eventually want to get on of the New Vaqueros, but then I will have to be really careful with my ammo. Most of the .45 colt ammo I have would do unpleasant things to one of the new vaqs or colt clones. As of yet, all my .45colts can take the heavy stuff.

I have 3 Vaqueros, all OMs. Ones a 357 and the other 2 are 45s. Once the SBH hammers are in and the free spin pawls they are great. I don't see any reason to get a new Vaquero. I'm quite happy with the OMs. :)

Love that high, close carry....even makes it concealable...is that other slot for crossdraw and does it hold that close crossdraw, too?
Yes, the other slot is for crossdraw. I ordered it that way becaus I am a big fan of crossdraw holsters for field use. They work great whether mounted on horse, quad, or just walking. I also like them because it makes it easier to draw the gun weak handed if neccessary with a "calvary twist and draw" motion. This holster, for me at least, does not work very well for crossdraw. It holds it too high, without enough forward tilt to the stocks. Now I know, but I still really like the holster. In the future, I will just order the two slot version for strong side carry from Simply Rugged.
