Got a call from my toy store today, he says that my 480 Alaskan has came in, thought I was going to wet myself, had a 6shot on order for about two years, got a 44 and a 454 but no 480, then Ruger dropped them
so I started looking at getting a used one with no luck. Then they interdicted the 5 shot 480, and now I have one, just in time as I’m going north this weekend to look for some turkeys and now to try out the 5 shot.

i've thought about the 454 myself, cost of ammo always changed my mind. Now that i'm getting starting in reloading i may revisit the idea.
