They're trying to make up on parts/accessories what they're losing on fixing what they screwed up and the new gun market that's dropping....and the cost of those new Instruction Manuals they'll send with every pistol: (1) Do not load or attempt to use pistol...leave in original packing until the recall notice...to attempt to use your new handgun might be hazardous to your health....and thank you for choosing Ruger...

The used Ruger market is full of fine weapons at real prices...and I love it......
problem there is----the word is gettin' out too fast!!!!!!
especially as far as ruger revolvers are concerned...the used ruger prices in the wheel gun market has gone up considerably of the past year it seems.................can't keep a good secret forever!

You're right Deputy. I am a huge Ruger revolver fan, and have noticed that the prices are coming up all the time. I can still find a deal now and then but they're not out there like the were. I got lucky finding my Redhawk for $450 I think.

the same holds true for pre-lock and pre-MIM Smith and Wessons.......the used "j" frame 38's are right up there in price and closin' in on the price of the "new and improved" smiths...........

the phrase "don't make them like they use to" seems to hold a lot of truth..........

Bountyhunter, you got real lucky finding that beautiful revolver for $450. I can find used .44's around here for about that price, but not the .45colt.
I was looking for a SS 5.5" 44 magnum when I found it. I think I got the better bargain. :)
