yes sir.............

gunbroker has the black ones for around $500 new.

but the wood versions seem to be higher..........

many more calibers are available---but for the most part, they are hunting configurations with 4 rd mag capacity in 243, 30-06, etc.

this puppy takes the ar-15 mags for the .223

It looks like it's kind of built on the 870 platform. HMMMMM...I may have a new one on the wish list.

if i remember correctly, the receiver and stocks of these are off of the 28 guage remington 870 wingmaster.....i think......................

They did this to transition cops from the 870 to the rifle with minimum re-training...same action and controls...love the hicap clip and the model with the black stock and Ghost Ring/XD sights...don't like collapsible and don't care for pistol-type grip...it's a two-handed weapon and the traditional grip built into the curve of the stock would work fine....$500 seems really reasonable...but I'd want a NIB one...I can't stand the thought that someone abused or tinkered in that much rifle.....we'll see...it would be easy enough to one-hand the .223 if necessary...

sheepdog---been a lot of years but in my younger days i did own a remington 760 in 270---it was very smooth-----more smooth than a 870 shotgun as there is no resistance cyclin' the forearm rearward to trip a shell out of the tubelure magazine like on a shotgun. The box magazine feed for the rifle rounds eliminates that...........

I had an old 141 .35 Rem pump...same thing but tubular feed...slick and easy....they do do pumps well...the clip feed is a plus.....I'd like to see them make one in 30-30....

t think savage use to have a pump rifle in 30-30 and 35 remington----the mdl 170----have not seen one in a bunch of years...........

For the money, I think I would rather have the AR. But then again, if it's at all like an 870, you couldn't make it jam.
