I just did it. I'm going to use a finer paper on it tomorrow. I'm going to dull the whole gun out with Scotchbrite. I like that look.

John's right, it was a snap decision. I was looking for some sand paper to refinish the grip panels, and for some reason ended up sanding the barrel. I used a small file and some rough paper. It took about 45 minutes. It needs to run over with some finer paper and then emory cloth and then some polish. I won't go thru all the steps because I'm going to dull the whole thing with Scotchbrite. I saw an SP101 on the .com forum that had been done and liked the look.

...great idea!!!...I like the "dull" look, too...'course if you ever send it back to the factory, they're liable to stamp it again or put a new barrel on it...they're slightly anal, you know....

Turned out pretty well Shawn, although if you ever have to whack someone in the head with the barrel, you won't have any nifty imprint. I guess there's a downside to everything though.
