I went to the range today with the Mrs. and the only other guy there was a very nice gentleman that in the past has let me shoot his Kimber Ultra Carry II and his BRAND SPANKIN NEW SR9.

Well he was there, and had been shooting his Desert Eagle .44 mag, he let me shoot a few clips through it. WHICH WAS AWSOME...That thing is a CANNON.

Also he had a LCP sittting there...I told him that I was thinking about getting one, and he let me shoot a few clips through his. My wife shot it too, and while it had more recoil than what she expected, she did fine with it. He then told me that he ordered two and had an extra one he would sell for $275.00 + Tax, which is what he paid for it. It's brand new, never fired. I told him SOLD. Tax is 6% in Michigan so that comes to $291.50 for a brand new LCP out the door!!!! I don't think I will find a better price than that.

I'm going to meet him at the sherriffs department Tuesday to transfer the gun to me. YEAHHHHH, I'm getting my LCP.

It shot very well, and I think it will make a great summer carry gun.

Now, what pocket holsters have you guys tried with yours????

That's a great deal, John! I'm using a simple IWB Uncle Mike's and clipping it in my pocket instead of waistband. When I need to I just tuck the whole thing into my pocket. I also got an extra magazine for it. I need to figure out a better way to carry it though. It's in my pocket and picks up lint. :?

I don't know how you feel about eBay, but there is a guy there selling leather holsters for the LCP that look to be great. Search for Ruger holsters and they should come up.

Well I better get the gun...I just bought some goodies to go with it...

I orderd an extra mag through ruger (plus the mag loader for my P89 ), I found a new Desantis Nemesis pocket holster on new on ebay for $16.00, and I even got one of those grip extenders for the bottom of the mag to try out.

Now I just have to get the gun!

AND LOTS OF AMMO!!!!

great deal John!...I used the nemisis and i got it off ebay as welo. gotta love ebay. My wife uses an el cheapo gunmate iwb at the 1 o'clock position. She's very happy with the LCP, as well as i am. I do need to get her out to the range so she can practice, and of course break in her LCP alittle more.

i still have not found one to pick up and fondle since it was released. i've heard rumors on them coming into area shops but they just evaporate and disappear by time word gets out........

Ruger had best follow-up on this design as i'm sure others are taking notice........

done mentioned it, but a .22 LR would sell and sell well for folks

I love my LCP Wizard, but I think that 9mm would be a little much. It's to light and it bucks pretty good with the 380. IMO.

SO, . . . . Your initial impression of the LCP, was pretty favorable ?? I've been debating on purchasing one of them. The P226 is just gettin too heavy & bulky for summer wear ! I think I need somethin a little smaller, & lighter. I haven't read much detail about carrying the LCP. Anyone have one, & have a carry preference ?? Almost looks like a very comfortable pocket carry to Me !

I'll stick with Ruger revolvers. I love them. The only Ruger semi I own is the LCP. It's a great little gun.

Ran a few rounds through it in the back yard...Not a gun you just want to fire for fun...The recoil is snappy on this little thing...

For comparison...the P89.

These are the carry bullets I bought...Winchester XST...Nasty little buggers. I think these used to be the Black Talon bullets before they banned them. They got rid of the Teflon coating (which they said was to defeat Kevlar vests, but in actuality was there to aid in the reliability of feeding in semi's) No Teflon, so no they're legal, go figure...By the way, I heard that Winchester called them XST for exact same thing...

they both compliment each other like nite and day-----and there has to be a nite and day or this old world ain't goin' round like it should........

the lcp looks almost sly, spy-like, waitin' to pounce---a deep concealment for a nasty suprise.......
the 89 looks all business, bold, and says don't tread on me, ready for range or war.........

The recoil is pretty good on them. I'm still able to stay on target pretty good firing all 7 shots as fast as I can. At 5-7 yards I can put them all in the black.

I have a local gun store with a BIG ammo section...

They're not cheap, but if you want, they normally have it.
