Skinner Peep - Henry H010GCC - Color Case Hardened .45-70 Side Gate

I just put a Skinner Alaskan on my 45/70. Hopefully I can get to the range very soon.

I've shot a .22 with a Skinner sight, they work well. I think the brass is a nice accent to the color casing. What's the front sight?

I plan to test fire the rifle with the original front sight. I purchased a taller front sight from Skinner just in case. If I do need a taller front sight my plan is to calculate the exact height and then have a machinist friend put the Brass bead back on the new sight>
