Why do they bother to give the details? The forecast should just say, "BAD. Don't even think about it".

It is a weather observatory and is manned. During the winter they stay there in weekly shifts and have snowcats bring them up and back along with supplies. The building is built like a bomb shelter.

Whatever they use for power and heat, I'd want at least triple redundancy.

I bet it's not solar although wind might work if it didn't blow 80 MPH all the time. We have enough of those damn ugly windmills in the White Mountains. Now Biden wants to ruin the coastline and kill all the seabirds.
