This was brought to my attention by a member on http://www.taurusarmed.net . After perusing gunbroker, I ran across 4 OSS pistols in .45 ACP being offered up for sale. The asking prices were right under $500. I think I need one of these.

It's not as pretty as the 1911, but it looks very comfortable. I'd like to take it for a test drive.

From my understanding, it's an improved version of the 24/7 PRO model. I've never shot or even held one but from personal accounts, the newest generation works extremely well. There is a member on the Taurus board with three 24/7 PROs and recall him mentioning 10,000 + rounds through one in .45 ACP with no problems. Personal accounts almost always carry more weight with me than what I read in the gun rags.
