Yesterday a friend (well, I consider him a friend although he probably considers me a joke) posed an article to back up AOC's green plan and how we need to all move to smaller rural houses and plant gardens to provide food, compost human waste for fertilizer and so on. All based on the Global Warming Data from the latest European meetings. Basically literally everything is going to kill us in the next few years if we don't do "something" NOW!

I had a few questions, How do we move everyone to rural areas when the jobs are in the city? No fuel for vehicles, Dams are bad, fossil fuels are bad, nuclear is bad. Cloths? Cotton is bad and most are petroleum based? Animals are bad, flatulence. Just on and on, my god, what is wrong with people? Got to stop and take my stress meds!:lol::lol::lol:
Most don't believe that nonsense that is why they have huge homes , SUV's and fly all over he globe getting paid like a snake oil salesman. The ones that do believe it, their parents had to bribe someone to get them in college.

Just curious if anyone's actually read the Green New Deal resolution.

It's justification is pulled from the IPCC AR5.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-resolution/109/text

Trying not to color it, you really should read the GND. I also can provide the GND FAQs that were deleted from AOC's congressional web site.

I think it's important to read what these people actually say rather than relying on media pundits. Not looking to throw a scare into anyone, while Hannity can mock it to make us feel better, you should know that these folks were serious when they wrote it.

Did I give enough time?

Tell me you didn't just read a communist manifesto.

There's always wood.

Here's one that'll make AOC's head spin like the girl in The Exorcist....

You can't make wind turbines without coal and oil. Pretty sure the same applies to solar panels but I haven't researched that yet.

Happy new election year!

Is everyone taking an inventory of accessories for their firearms that may be needed should there be a shortage after the election? You have time now to buy those items before a possible political storm that could shut down supplies.

Firearm parts that can be bought and taken for granted now may become unavailable as we've experienced before after political upheavals. Items like mags, mags springs and the list goes on, have been impossible to find.....food for thought.

I'm not a SHTF believer because I think Orange Man wins another term and liberal heads explode. I don't see too many beta males that are worrisome. If they want violence then remember HL Mencken's quote:

“Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.”

That's a great reminder......I just bought 2 boxes of .32 today, which is a little hard to get in normal times. Puts me up to 1600 rounds. Over 1K of .38, and more .22 than I'll live to shoot. Eight Guardian mags, and six 10/22. SP speedloaders.

I've always had a habit of keeping a good stash of parts. Anything likely to break or go MIA. The Bearcats and Guardians, I went over the edge. Everything except Bearcat barrel and cylinder, Guardian slide. I've got Bearcat parts that are now factory only. Good example of why to stock up.

I did notice that Sportsman's Warehouse's gun section was a lot busier than usual, and the handgun racks had several empty spots. Ammo shelves were thin in places; have been full. They're not running any sales now, either.

You know what happened with shortages before is all I'm saying. Look what is going on in individual states like Virginia for example, so it may not be on a federal level.

I couldn't find a mag anywhere online for one of Sightnguy"s firearms last go round and when I did, and it actually showed up, it was an amazing relief. I don't want to go through that again.

I wonder if this is the clicking sound of the roller coaster as it climbs the first hill....

I'm in Virginia......Blue governor "Blackface" Northam wants to get ugly on the 2A, with our newly blue majority legislature behind him. The General Assembly starts its first session on the 8th. That's the roller coaster coming down the hill here. Lt. Governor Fairfax leads the session, if he's not too busy molesting women......

I actually want to sell my SPs and 10/22, but the liberals are prompting me to keep them until I see what happens. Imagine that, they are making me have more guns!

I was there the other day and someone at the Gun counter actually waited on me, lol. You may remember some of my old posts on it.

Didn't have what I wanted though and I looked at some Ammo while I was there. I was looking for 45 LC and couldn't find any. Finally found a few boxes on the end of the aisle. Only thing they had was Aquila. Forget it.

Like Obama was, then Hilliary, Northam is also a great Gun and Ammo salesman. Now is the time before any silliness may kick in. All the old rules still stand, for now anyway.

Best one there is Don, works mornings. Older guy with white hair, looks like he'd ride a Harley, which he does. Glenn is good too, retired LEO with a thick white moustache.

The .32 ACP I buy there is Aguila, all 100% for me. They also sometimes have Remington or S&B. Remington no better, but higher price. S&B has rep for hard primers and misfires.

I'd hold onto those firearms as you could defend & feed yourselves with them. Plus the values could soar like during the last s-storm.

Washington State is hot on the heels of VA so I'll be stocking up on ammo, our Gov Asshat signed 5 new gun laws last week and more to come. Our Chief Justice has allowed a recall of our AG to move forward!

I would hang on to the Sp in .357 as that will stop a fight much faster than a .32 and if things do get dicey it may be comforting to own.

Well has everyone restocked their T-paper? 😂

What else have you decided to squirrel away for the upcoming price hikes and shortages?
My answer in short......everything. LOL

Yep, lots of TP and paper towels.

Funny, now that I think of it, we have been subconsciously stocking up of our dog's Prescription Diet food and treats. We may starve, but our baby will be full.
