I was looking out the window as I had a rabbit up close to the house eating clover and weeds in the lawn. We don't have a lot of cottontails up here but since I planted the clover along the driveway they are around now. As I'm watching a squirrel fell out of a tree and landed flat on his back with a thud I heard inside the house. The tree is an oak and doesn't have any low limbs so he fell a good 30'. He flipped over and just laid there for several minutes and when I opened the door he ran off. I always figure some of them tumble the way they jump from limb to limb but guessing this one just may think some before he does it again if he makes it.

Rain again this morning. The local weather said we are over 7" above normal in rainfall. A lot of the low places have standing water and I still have 20 gallons of driveway sealer sitting in my garage.

No rain today just back to hot and humid. In the 90's tomorrow so maybe I will get some sealer down.

Rain off and on most of the day. It's NASCAR race day in Loudon so a disappointment for fans. Not sure if they will run the race or not as pretty steady rain forecasted for race time and continuing on into the night.

Sox called up a kid that is their #3 prospect and he started in right for the Yankees game. His first at bat he got a hit (off Gerrit Cole), went to second on a flyball out and then scored on a single. The kid is really fast and was motoring around third and didn't even draw the throw he was around so quickly. His mom and dad were in Yankee stadium for the game so it was a good night for them even though the Sox wound up losing the rain shortened game 3-1.

I've got a smart Samsung. At least 50, I haven't counted, free channels. Some are good, like Paramount Movie, others look like something a teenager made in his basement. Newsmax is the best one, getting honest news.

Our weather here has been anywhere from 88 to 95, with seventies at night. Very little rain in the past six weeks or more, but I'm glad it keeps my yard kinda brown..........Mowing once a month is okay with me......
We got an LG, they didn't have the Samsung we wanted in stock and did not want to spend $1300.
we have Direct TV but DTV also gave us an antenna free last year because they were in negotiations with the network that was carrying the Super Bowl so we have that option.

Good morning folks! Need to get back to my normal morning routine, that combined with the change in meds is not fun! It's only been three days and I'll give them a chance but right now I'm missing the plain old Aleve! Still waiting for the Neurosurgery Clinic to call and make their appointment.

Hope you are all doing well and staying safe!

That's a big decision Smitty but if they can correct the problem and you can get back to a more normal life with less pain then understandable. I would do some searches for the best surgeon in the country to do that one and go to him if you have to. Good luck.

Good morning folks! Met with new Doc yesterday morning and scrapped new meds and back on Aleve, only take 500mg twice a day but sure does the job. He also questioned the Neurosurgeon recommendation without an MRI and / or PT first . I think I'm going to like this guy.

Has anybody had any dealings with Winthrop Holsters? Looks to me like the went out of business right after I placed an order the first of may, processed the payment but never shipped and no replys.

Have a great day!

I have 2 Winthrop holsters, and received them within a week. The newest one was about 8 months ago.
I think they are the best bang for the buck.

I just looked on their site and saw this:
Down for Maintenance
We are temporarily shut down due to issues surrounding the Covid-19 virus. Our state has issued a stay at home order so we are currently working with a limited staff. We will do everything we can to get existing orders out in a timely manner. We apologize and thank you for your patience.

As far as asking a surgeon, or any other specialist Doctor if you need their service.
It's about like asking a car salesman if you need a new car.

To me surgery is always the last option. When the first words out of their mouth is cut I run like hell. It is amazing what can be done with PT or even a shot and PT. The MRI will tell them the story. Good luck.

Good morning folks! Haven't been on the computer much lately, morning back exercises have messed up my morning schedule and morning coffee on the deck with wifie! Must be the after effect of two months travel, lol.

Still no response from Winthrop, Capitol One refunded payment and is pursuing the matter. Amazon was still listing them last week but seams to have dropped them this week. Too bad, they made a great product. I did see an affordable DeSantis on Amazon but don't want black so may opt for a 1791, I like theirs also, just a little heavier leather.

54 days of no rain and counting, set the lawn on fire mowing the other day, not fun, tried to roll the mower at the same time. Was exciting for a few minutes! Thankfully the water hose was handy, back paid for it though.

Hope you all have a great day and be safe!

Stay with the exercises they helped me greatly to the point of no pain unless I get stupid. I continue to do the work out program twice weekly. The way it was explained to me is by strengthening the core, the muscles tighten and it raises the vertebrae and sucks the disc's back in place. The pain is caused by inflammation because the discs are sticking out into an area they aren't supposed to be and the body reacts.

I think we got enough rain last night to make this the 2nd wettest month ever in NH.

Good morning folks! I hear you Terry, I start up next week! My basic routine has not been enough after the lax year I have had and I am paying for it.
Back to the 90s today, bummer!
Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning Folks! Well, after 3 years of hassling, finally figured out what the clunking is in the front suspension of the Durango, the sway bar was misaligned and hitting the control arm. No Charge, I guess they could have said the links were bad and charged me but didn't, just found problem and re-alignment. Oh, and new front brakes, not sure who foot the bill for that, the shop or the parts supplier. Life is good!

Hope you all have a great day and stay cool!

I like no charge. A good day here 70's and low humidity. Our local news has a show part of it called Rossen Reports. Last night they had a show on cleaning dryer vents. Been a long time on ours so went over and get a kit at Lowes that hooks into a drill and cleans out all the lint. Man were they dirty.

Smitty, I had a surgeon tell me, "don't let anyone cut on you unless you absolutely cannot walk."
Good luck and I'll put you on my prayer list.

Spread 3 more pails of sealer yesterday as it was a great day here. Low humidity and temps in the 70's. Well 74 years ago today I came into the world kicking and screaming. I guess I am now in the vintage category.
