I was over visiting another forum board and looked at all the pics of this transformation of the best looking Rugers I have ever since for hunting with. I got to get me one of these in the natural and then proceed as he did.

I don't much care for very long barreled revolvers. I kinda feel like you might as well pack a rifle around as much as one of those weighs. They are pretty dang hard to carry in a holster too!

It's kind of unwieldy like my 10" Raging Bull. If you ever run out of ammo, you can always club your target to death. :mrgreen:

I do like those Rugers, but they are a little heavy for e revolver. I'll keep to my short barrels. I'll just poke an eye out with one of those. :|

Don't know if I will ever get a Hunter Blackhawk, but for now I can sure hunt with my new/used one

I sure like this 5"5", but the trigger guard would have to be rounded though.

should make a fine dedicated huntin' rig with that long barrel and the sling makes a lot of sense.

but i still like to pack shorter barrels..............

I haven't upgraded yet, but the picture reflects the upgrade I want in the 5.5" SBH without the squared off trigger guard.
