To put it mildly, I didn't expect anything differant from these test.....
Glock 21 Torture Test
Glock Torture Test with DVD Sample
Let's be fair here and include Springfield XD, which having been a very strong advocate of Glocks from not only in the line of duty as a Law Enforcement Officer, but in my own CCW selections in the past from 9mm to .40 S&W to my favorite caliber the .45 ACP. I recently handled the Springfield XD in .45 ACP, and I can tell you I like the grip feel, sights better and external safeties such as the backstrap etc than the Glock 21/20
Springfield XD Torture Test
Could a 1911 A1 stand up to the same torture test, I don't know as I have run some of my own on these style of handguns and came up very unhappy with the results. I have never owned a Sig anything but have seen some and because of what I saw, decided no way for me.
You have to decide on what is for you and you alone. Go into your local dealer, and handle everything to see how it fits you and you alone. If you can rent a firearm of selection, then go rent before you buy what your looking at or thinking about owning.
Everyone, aim well, shoot lots and practice, practice and then practice some more.
