I have been thinking that I should have a lever gun in 480,just can’t decide on a 16” or 20” barrel.
Looking at SS. Puma. Opinions? ;)

I personally like the short barrels. Easier to use in sticky situations. That's all I can say on the subject. :|

I tend to agree with you on the short barrels, after all its just a hand gun caliber, got a 44 Trapper and it work just fine. :)

my only concern would be is the 480 goin' to be around for the long haul.......
i hope the cartridge will have a long life and successfull future but just in case i'd sure stock up on components for it................

With the cost of factory ammo being what it is and on the rise I have gotten brass, bullets ,and one bullet mold, so I hope I will be ok.
As for parts, will Ruger will have most of what one would need for repairs, now the Puma mite be a different story and I will have to look into that.
