Whose list? M14, M1 and FN FAL should be at the top.

I'd choose the M14 over any battle rifle I know anything about....really enjoyed mine...I'd love the stainless synthetic short Scout-type M1A-but they're a bit too rich for my blood these days...just can't trust my life to the M16....better than nothing but not nearly the rifle the M14 is....heavy and heavy ammo aren't a negative...I'd carry the weight to reach out and touch someone better....

You know, as much fun as I have with my two ARs, if I had to go into combat, I would much prefer the M14. And I would chose the M14 over the Garand only because of the detachable mag. But, the M16/AR platform is a viable weapon, with the right ammo.

its a great list and i've seen the tv show where they discussed it......but of course disagree with selections----still think the moisn nagant should be in the top 10 ......sorry styer aug................
