I finally got to take them out today. I put just over 60 rounds thru them. I was checking to see how they shot, what kind of leading problems I was going to have, etc. I also shot only home rolled ammo. I shot 200 grain RNFP over 9.2 grains of Unique. They were hitting pretty good at 7 yards, shooting one handed looking down the barrel. My GF shot them using the sites at 5 yards and got pretty good groups. I had no leading problems at all. reaming those throats to .452 was a good thing I think. I still want to cut the forcing cone to 11* when I get a chance. There's something about a fixed site cowboy gun.

I have to find an outdoor range soon. That indoor range drives me nuts. It's always full of fools and terds. Including some of the fools who work there. This weekend it was like a daycare. There were kids running around all over. I don't have a problem with children shooting, but if the parent is only taking them because they don't have a sitter, it's a pain for the rest of us. Nothing worse than having to watch out for someone else's kids while I'm paying to shoot.

I found out yrs ago to brake a barrel in min 300 rds of below 900 fps before going to 1000 plus
fps . NEVER shoot jacket bullets in your lead shooters . I shoot SASS and end of match there
is no lead and only need a patch and little or no brush needed . Now stainless barrel are alot
harder to breaking in . Any copper in bore must come out 100% or it will make it lead up .
That's why I laugh when someone said they shoot a jacket bullet to get the lead out , it gets
the lead out ok , but now it will lead again . Benchrest cast bullet shooter kill you if you tryed
to shoot a jacket in there gun . Forcing cone I get some leading , I use Lewis tool on it and
after a little polishing it take 10 seconds to delead it . I've was going to cut 11 deg on my
guns but I never got the tool to try it .
