I use a lot of 231. Currently, I'm using 6.5grs behind a Remington swaged 250gr LRN...nice mild load for my 25-5...went to this bullet because this gun has the large throats.

It's a bit dirty, but cleans up easy enough.

I use it in .380 ACP, .32 S&W Long, .38 Special, .45 ACP, 44 Special etc....

Good luck.

Does it meter more consistantly than Unique? So far, that has been my only complaint about Unique. I may try a new powder soon.
Same here. I use Unique for my 45 acp, 45 Colt, and 357. I really like it, but it doesn't meter for crap. :?

Yes, W231 meters a lot better than Unique....I used to use W231 and HP38...now, they're the same thing....they both meter really nice and consistant, but, I've switched to Unique because it's cleaner and I like the way it shoots better.....
