Pump for defense. I want a tactical 7 - 10 shot pump. I looked at soem Remingtons for around $400-$500. They looked like just the thing. I have to stop buying handguns though. :?

I like the big picture, that's a nice looking gun for that price!

I kind of like the idea of a tactical shotgun for the house, but I'm not sure if it's in my near future or not.

I bought a Ruger Red Label last year and after two years of skeet shooting I have put over 4,000 shells thru it. It fits me like it's custom made and my scores improved by several birds per round. If I purchase another shotgun which is doubtful as I own 5 it would either be a Stainless Red Label (for waterfowl) which isn't made anymore or a 28 GA O/U.

I like doubles once I learned how to shoot them. Believe there is a differance but so easy to correct. I have a 20 ga double has two chokes on it mod and full but if ya ask me its full and fuller. Its a browning and I take it bird hunting or have during the times I have been invited to go. even with the cheapie wal mart 20's I still bring in my birds that the 12's do.
I know I only have 2 shots and I have to pick my shots also. I have a pump next to the bed for self defense, Its and Ithaca, tried and true no need toreplace her. The previous owner either cut the barrel to 20 inchs or had someone do it. Either wqay they did a great job, just a shame had to be a nice hunting shotgun. But it has a good home wqith me. I have another one that is not in as good a shape but it has a full choke tube.
The mod choke was or has been the most popular, but I like the full choke better myself. Much more versatile, for my money.

I found a Winch Defender black 8-shot for $225 out the door...slightly used...I like them better than the Mossberg...now I'm looking for a clean 1200---like I started with....smoother than the 870 and seem to feed easier...I yearn for a good sxs....someday...
