And why do you like them. Never had one and thinking hard about ordering one now.

I have two one is Ken Null Vampire for an SP101 and is designed for traveling by auto. The firearm rides parallel to the ground. It is a well made rig in horsehide but I find little use for it now. The second is a Bond Arms "Bad Driving Holster" that has the same orientation for the snake slayer a 3 1/2" derringer in .410/45 colt. That gets more use when traveling. Nothing like a face full of 000 Buck to discourage a car jacker.

I find a cross draw very convenient, especially when getting in and out of a car.

Thanks guys, I just got a Cimarron "Evil Roy" 5.5" .357 and thought it might look good in a cross draw. There was a beautiful custom cross draw I had my eye on but it was expensive and I decided to go with strong side rather than spend money on something I didn't know if I would like or not. I wasn't considering it for concealed carry at all.

For normal carry, woods walking etc. then the strong side is the way to go. It is a more normal action than reaching across the body. Post up some pics when you get the rig, we always like good gun porn.

Always carried my 5" 629 and 4" GP100 in a Bianchi 111 Cross Draw, very comfortable and convenient when in and out of vehicles No problem with seat belts either!.

Cross draw made sense to me due to shoulder immobility from age and arthritis. much easier to reach in front than to the side or back. and being in full view has it's benefits as a deterrent many times, even though concealability is not too difficult either. i can't shoot left handed worth a damn, so it made sense even with two guns.

Never owned one but wore one a few times. They feel great. No sure why but they look very cool and remind me of the westerns I watched as a child. The guy who crossdrawed (sp?)was always a winner. Doc Holiday, some said, cross drew.
