I've had this for about 30 years now. This is a WWII K98 Mauser in 8mm that gets some range time. The receiver is marked DOU 44 indicating a late war model produced by the Czechs..has all of the German nazi markings and codes and is not import marked...all original even the sling. I just thought it might interest some of you folks out there. I just love the old world craftsmanship and shooting a piece of history.;) Here's what I have.

It's called the stock disc or take down disc.
It's actually a tool to take apart the bolt in the field.
The tip of the firing pin goes into the hole so that
you can compress the firing pin spring without
breaking the tip off when cleaning it.;)

Thanks for looking and I hope this helps. Rich
