I'm going with big green...Weather it's shot gun shells or rifle rounds, I just always seem to have good luck with Remington for hunting. Now for trap shooting...Winchester AA's are hard to beat.

i guess my catch all is remington for the most part------except i totally despise their rim-fire ammo here as of late...........

hornady is dang good ammo but remington is way more available.

I voted cheapest as I'm usually buying in bulk. For rifle hunting I usually end up with Rem. I did my own comparison testing between Win. Super Speed & Rem. Heavy Dove for 12ga. Dove loads. I was surprised at the differences (always figured it's all the same shit), Win. is defiantly faster but I like putting more shot in the air (seems to work better for me). For pistols I keep Fed. Hydro-Shocks in my pistols for carry & home defense. Beyond that it's what ever's on sale.

Actually I can't remember the last time I bought factory ammo. Since I got my SHTF stash stocked up I reload everything. My handloads are better than any factory loads.

P.S. I'm with Deputy on the Hornady, they give that shit out like it was gold or something.

I have not done much comparison, but what do you not like about remington rimfire? It happens to be the only rimfire in my house at the time, so I would love to be educated.

i have had too many duds with the remington rim fire "golden" bullet bulk packs----though strangely enough i have not had problems with the old remington "thunderbolts".

i guess my most consistant .22 ammo has been winchester "super x" and that is what i shot most of my matches with once upon a time with the tc contender.

personal opinion------the 50 round count packaging that comes 10 boxes to the "brick" might get handled better, better QC, or be a bit better quality than the bulk stuff.........i can not prove it, but i seem to have less problems with ammo packed in such a manor...............

i have noticed dmaaged bullet tips also in the bulk federal cartons of ammo as well.........

an old gentleman once told me the bulk stuff is "floor sweepings" that drop off the line.......beats the heck out of me..........

cci for some picky semi-autos as well.................

Funny you mention the CCI....they will NOT run through my 10/22. Before I converted the stock, out of every 10 rds, at least 3 would jam.....would switch over to Federal Bulk, or Federal 500, and the problem went away.....

had an old ruger mk I years back----it was only reliable with the cci----------just goes to show i guess, each gun is a different animal of its own when it comes to feeding time......

Wow....hard to specify just one...

.22, it's CCI all the way, for the relatively clean nature
.38, Remington UMC (they make BIG boxes)
.357, usually Winchester
.45, Remington UMC
.223, Anything surplus. Usually Wolf
.300 Savage, make my own
30-06, Winchester

My stockpiles of .38, .45, and .223 are all UMC, because of the big-ass boxes. Two a month!

Agreed. I don't like the box of loose rounds, for any caliber. Doesn't work out as well, doesn't travel well, and doesn't fit my obsessive-compulsive standards of ammunition organization.

Yeah baby, Model 99! It is eligible for the Roosevelt-Browning Hunting Club record books.

I keep an eye on the Savage site just in case it happens.

Mostly handgun ammo but I prefer handloads but also buy Magtech and PMC Starfire for PD.
