I do see a big difference in barrel bushings. On the Z it's shorter and has two complete holes. It also "rocks" on the lugs, not tight against front of slide. The recoil spring pushes it out, making a small gap at the bottom. I know that serious 1911 shooters want all of that tight.
The barrels must be tapered larger at the muzzle, bushing is snug. With slide locked back, the barrel is loose in bushing.
